From there it takes you to the Bluewater Quay Public Open Space and along the foreshore to Iluka Park with its shady trees and great facilities.

It’s not just a trail to follow, keep an eye out for the fantastic community artworks and sculptures along the way, each one with a story and meaning. The trail crosses paths with many great locations and you could easily spend an afternoon at each, just relaxing and soaking in the sun and seaside atmosphere.

You’re spoilt for choice on the Bluewater Trail, you could even pack a rod and reel and head fishing off one of the two public fishing platforms at the Bluewater Quay near the Mackay Base Hospital.
